The Government has announced the suspension of Home Information Packs with immediate effect from 21 May 2010.

Homes marketed for sale on or after 21 May 2010 will no longer require a Home Information Pack (HIP).

The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will be retained.

"This is no surprise to us" commented Stephen Woodward of Woodward Estate Agents " it was stated Conservative and Liberal Democrat policy".  However, it does put a greater emphasis on being sure the estate agent you choose has the forward thinking, knowledge and experience to to handle a sale once a buyer has been found".
