About Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's)Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) were introduced by the government to help improve the energy efficiency of buildings. If you are selling or letting a home you now need a certificate by law. The certificate provides 'A' to 'G' ratings for the building, with 'A' being the most energy efficient and 'G' being the least, with the average up to now being 'D'.
Accredited energy assessors produce EPCs alongside an associated report which suggests improvements to make a building more energy efficient. Woodward Estate Agents know that not all Energy Assessors are the same and so we have a special Service Standard Agreement with energy Assessor Penny Smith. Penny worked in our Residential Sales Department for many years, before training and qualifying with us as an Energy Assessor. We have every confidence that she takes great care to produce an accurate and detailed assessment for our clients. If you require an EPC and you are a client of Woodward Estate Agents, then we will automatically arrange the assessment with you. If you are not a client, call us and we will put you in touch with Penny directly. |
